Absolute US prices for MTBE were higher based on the NYMEX,but differentials were slightly lower,24 cts/gal over the February NYMEX offered in Houston,for January USGC delivery.The US Atlantic Coast also fell slightly against the print,to about 20 cts/gal over.Both of these levels are higher than has been seen recently-MTBE was under the print in mid-January-and most feel octanes in general will head higher in the new year.
