New York-More than a year after their original separation agreement,Ashland and Marathon announced complex new terms Apr 28 for unwinding their 1.1-mil b/d Marathon Ashland Petroleum US midconti-nent downstream joint venture.Marathon is boosting its cash-and-stock payout to Ashland and its shareholders to as much as 3.9-bil,from 3.1-bil last year,for Ashland's 38% of MAP in a deal aimed to minimize the tax impact for Ashland.
