Gasoline prices roared higher across the US Sep 27 on supply disruptions caused by Hurricane Rita.October unleaded gasoline on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose 3.72 cts to US2.1664/gal,a total gain of 8.08 cts from Sep 23,the day before Rita struck the US Gulf Coast,closing several refineries.
