A huge sell-off hit the gasoline market on Thursday with Houston-area refineries coming back online after Hurricane Rita and market shorts relaxing thanks to a delayed scheduling deadline for prompt barrels.The market slipped from 90 to 55 cts/gal over the November NYMEX gasoline contract.The 35 ct/gal range morphed into a Platts posting of 60.1 to 62.1 cts/gal over the NYMEX for prompt barrels.
