Kenya eyes opening import tenders

Kenya's Ministry of Energy is looking to open the country's regular product import tenders to international access,a ministry official told Platts Sep 25.At present,the ministry only invites participation from about 16 licensed marketers,including major shareholders of the Kenyan Petroleum refinery Ltd's Mombasa refinery,namely,BP with a 17% stake,Shell with 17%,and Caltex,16%.
