World-class cable makers are expanding in Latin America

The ROW segment in the table below includes Turkey, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. This segment posted year-over-year growth of 26% in H1 2013. Altogether, this segment has 120 countries, but only 12 have domestic optical cable manufacturers. There reportedly is a project to develop optical cable manufacturing in a thirteenth market, Azerbaijan, but as of now, the manufacturing is currently limited to six countries in the Middle East, three in Africa, two in Latin America, and Turkey.
