Solvay Opens Biotechnology Lab in Brazil To Develop Bio-Based Products, Solutions

Paulinia— Solvay has opened an Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory (IBL) in Paulinia, Brazil, to boost the development of innovations and solutions based on sustainable chemistry. The fully integrated IBL will focus mainly on researching new processes and molecules derived from plant or vegetable-based biomass, which is abundantly available in Brazil. This is the company's first fully dedicated IBL.
