US Natgas Producers Get More Bang for Their Buck

Antero Resources and Range Resources -- major natural gas producers in the Appalachia region of the US Northeast -- have both slashed their capital spending budgets for 2015, but they still expect to achieve robust production growth in the region. Denver - based Antero will put all 14 of its operated rigs to work in Appalachia this year, as the Marcellus and Utica shales are the company's only operating areas. That total is down from 21 rigs in 2014, but Antero says that is still enough to make it the region's most active driller.
