Colombia's state-owned Ecopetrol, which has sought to diversify its crude-export destinations away from the US Gulf Coast, has announced an agreement to sell 1 million barrels of heavy Castilla crude to South Korean refiner Hyundai Oilbank. The cargo, which will travel from the port of Covenas on Colombia's Caribbean coast, will be Ecopetrol's second oil sale to South Korea. The first delivery, announced this past October, also involved 1 million bbl of Castilla blend and went to the same buyer (OD Oct.21'14).
