Anadarko Petroleum has approved a 50% increase in its quarterly dividend following the release of stronger - than - expected operational results for the first quarter of 2014 and the recent resolution of the Tronox litigation. The Houston - based independent increased its quarterly distribution to 27￠ per share of common stock, up from the 18￠/share dividend the company had paid since its last increase in August 2013.
