Chinese Demand Stronger Than Expected

China's actual oil demand was significantly stronger in September than preliminary figures suggested, possibly by more than 300,000 barrels per day. The latest data shows that some 600,000 b/d of crude was unaccounted for, raising speculation that many of those barrels might have gone into China's strategic petroleum reserve or other noncommercial storage.
