US LNG Export Project Inks Surplus Deal

Partners in Golden Pass Products (GPP), the developer of the proposed Golden Pass LNG export project near Sabine Pass, Texas, have signed a commercial framework agreement for the liquefaction venture that would send surplus US natural gas into international markets. The partners are affiliates of Qatar Petroleum International (QPI) and Exxon Mobil -- two of the three partners along with ConocoPhillips in the existing Golden Pass import facility. Conoco chose not to participate in the export project (OD Aug.21'12).
