Encana Reports Progress in Emerging Oil, Liquids Plays

Canadian gas giant Encana -- which was battered by weak natural gas prices last year -- says it is making good progress in a handful of emerging oil and liquids-rich plays in North America (OD Jan.15'13). Among other things, it said it has established the commerciality of its San Juan Basin assets in northwestern New Mexico, where it expects production this year to exceed 1,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
