Exxon Targets Strong Growth in Liquids Output

Exxon Mobil said it will spend $190 billion through 2017 to fund production growth from the start-up of 31 major upstream projects and to give the company a strong foothold in frontier exploration plays, particularly in the Arctic. The Texas-based supermajor said it plans average capital spending of $38 billion per year to add a net 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day to its production by 2017.
