Indian state refiner Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (HPCL) is in talks with UK major, Total of France and steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal to revive a stalled $10 billion refinery-petrochemical project on India’s East Coast. “BP has shown interest ... We are talking to them,” HPCL Chairman and Managing Director S. Roy Choudhury told Oil Daily in New Delhi. “Total too has renewed interest but nothing has been finalized so far. A lot depends on how talks progress in the next couple of months.”
