Norwegian Oil Output Slumps for 10th Year Running in 2010

Norway had a difficult 2010. Mature fields saw bigger than expected declines, new fields came on stream late or not at all, and technical problems with wells and equipment hit a number of producing fields. As a result, oil output fell for the 10th year in a row to an estimated 2.135 million barrels per day, down 220,000 b/d from 2009.
