Oil prices could spike to $176 per barrel in nominal terms-some $150 in current money-by 2015 as a result of a slowdown in upstream investment across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region following the political upheaval of the Arab Spring, International Energy Agency (IEA) Chief Economist Fatih Birol warned Wednesday.
