Sept 21 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan is almost ready to grant British-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto Ltd a license to explore for copper in the Namangan region, a senior official at the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources. A government decree to approve Rio Tinto's involvement in exploration in the country has already been drafted, he said.
