Sweden's Auriant Mining AB fully commissioned a heap leaching facility at the Tardan gold field in Tuva on August 24.Design throughput capacity is 1 million tonnes of ore, graded at 9.4 g/t for gold, the company said in a statement. The plant can achieve a recovery rate of 58%. It should boost gold production to 1,000 kg per year in two years. Project costs were not disclosed."The commissioning will enable Auriant to significantly increase production levels and generate steady revenues from gold sales. Tardan being fully commissioned adds a great value for our shareholders," Denis Alexandrov, the company's CEO, was quoted as saying.
