MMK makes $14 mln in Ql IFRS net profits

OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) made $14 million in net profits to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the first quarter of this year, according to a company statement, beating well an Interfax consensus forecast that predicted losses of $19 million. MMK reported EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of $293 million (consensus forecast - $278 million).
