African Barrick's disappointing production guidance for 2013

AFRICAN Barrick Gold pic (ABG) will cut its annual gold production by as much as 13% this year as it undertakes a review of the business to rein in costs. Tanzania-focused ABG said it expected to produce between 540,000-600,000oz of gold in 2013 compared with 626,000oz in 2012. The company, which has struggled to meet production targets since it was spun out of Barrick Gold Corp in 2010, disappointed analysts again with its 2012 production figures.
