There is not a lot in common between a bale of hay and a sheet of copper cathode, just as there is not a lot in common with some recent commentary on the dour outlookfor the overall commodities sector and the brightening outlook for a number of minerals and metals. The difference was obvious to anyone who attended last week's Mines and Money conference in London and who then read a demolition job on commodities a few days later in the Financial Times (FT).
