Russia targets Namibian uranium

RUSSIA is preparing to invest about 1 billion US dollars into Namibia to develop uranium mines, Rosatom Corp chief executive Sergei Kiriyenko said this week. Mr Kiriyenko has met with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev and his Namibian counterpart, Hifikepunye Pohamba, in Moscow about the possibility of investment in the southern Africa country.
