Centamin production at Sukari lowered

CENTAMIN Egypt Ltd has dropped its 2010 production guidance by up to 20% due to equipment failure, lower-grade ore and a fall in recoveries. The West Australian-based gold miner, which operates at the Sukari mine in Egypt, has lowered its guidance to in the range of 160,000-170,000oz, down from the originally forecast 200,000oz. Centamin said the cause of the change was intermittent SAG mill liner and lifter failures that continued through the quarter.
