PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently regenerating a catalyst in a catalyst used in producing a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid from a lower olefin and a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid and having lowered activity after being used, to obtain a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid ester catalyst regenerated by the regeneration method, and to provide a method for producing the lower aliphatic acid ester by using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: It has been found out that the activity of the catalyst can be regenerated and the reuse of the catalyst becomes possible by heating under conditions including a specified temperature range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
