Privately owned exploration company Core Mining's Avima iron ore project in the Republic of Congo, on the country's borders with Cameroon and Gabon, is eyeing a start to production in 2017. But faced with a tight funding environment and major infrastructure hurdles, there are questions over whether Avima has what it takes to bring its iron ore on stream.
