Nucor is attemptingto increase carbon steel flat product prices by 30 dollars per short ton for August deliveries, a move that market sources say keeps pricing momentum running solidly in North America but at the same time represents something of a moderation.The increase would lift hot rolled coil to around 1,120 dollars per ton, cold rolled coil to 1,180 dollars perton and 1mm-thick hot-dip galvanized coil with a G-90 coating weightto about 1,335 dollars perton.
