摘要

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) expects a delay in its review of 61 mining contracts after the country's prime minister resigned on September 25, according to a DRC government official. Antoine Qizenga, 82, tendered his resignation to the country's president, Joseph Kabila, citing fatigue and old age. "[President] Kabila will have to appoint a new prime minister, leading to a new cabinet," the official told MB. "There will definitely be movements within ministries and the pace of concluding the review process will depend on how fast a new prime minister is appointed," the official added.
