Anionic polymerizations are among the most important methodologies in synthetic polymer chemistry.Alltyllithiums and Grignard reagents have been widely used as powerful anionic initiators for prototypic anionic polymerizations such as that of styrene.Despite the synthetic potential of anionic polymerization,its use has been limited to less functionalized monomers.
