FDA to begin sampling U.S. pet products milk replacers for Salmonella

While FDA's efforts to probe Chinese pet jerky treats continue to be in the news, the agency has expanded its sampling efforts to look for Salmonella in U.S.-made pet products and in milk replacer products fed to young calves, piglets and lambs, reveal two field assignments announced by the Center for Veterinary Medicine on April 19.
