Micro committee presents first progress report on DoD assignment

An 18-person panel charged with improving the safety of food delivered to soldiers and their families within two years is making progress.In its first progress report since taking on a charge from the Department of Defense to help determine the microbiological safety of foods served on military bases, the National Advisory Committee for Microbiological Criteria for Foods has begun collecting what kinds of tests it feels are accurate in making such determinations.
