NOSB schedules fall meeting in Madison,Wis.

The National Organic Standards Board, which provides policy advice to USDA's National Organic program, has scheduled its fall meeting for Oct. 25-28, in Madison, Wis.In addition to continuing reviews of Sunset 2012 and petitioned materials, the NOSB plans to present recommendations to USDA with request for comment on the following topics: nanotechnology, apiculture (bee raising), use of animal healthcare products, the "made with" organic label claim, and updates to the NOSB Policy and Procedures Manual and New Member Guide.
