FDA's draft strategy for reducing the use of certain antimicrobials in animal food production sparked more than 100,000 comments before its Aug. 30 deadline, though all but a couple hundred were form letters. But that shouldn't detract from the fierce criticisms received from animal producers as well as consumer and health groups.
