Traders have reported offers as low as $265/mt FOB for 11-44 from China, a $20/mt decline in the last month. The most recent deals for 11-44 were secured last week at $270-271/mt FOB, but high stocks and some urgency to make sales pushed the price further down. Chinese MAP producers are struggling with lower domestic demand and operating at around 50% capacity, with more than half of the country's MAP units now believed to have been shut down.
