The settlement of the new Indian potash contract is close to being confirmed, BPC said this week, as spot market prices in many regions globally continued to fall. BPC has not yet confirmed the settlement of the new Indian potash contract, but Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was reported to have said that a deal was already agreed on June 22. A separate report said that India had agreed to receive 700,000 mt MOP from BPC and that price negotiations will take place within the next week. While it uncertain whether an agreement is already in place, a supply arrangement of some sort is likely to be announced before the end of June.
