Algeria: Sorfert takes full overhaul in soft urea market

Sorfert reported August 10 that the second ammonia unit and the urea unit were taken down for planned maintenance that is expected to last a minimum of three weeks. The moved followed last week's closure of the first amonia line, also for planned maintenance. The maintenance program is the first complete turnaround at the units following close to three years of operations, and the move could conceivably provide support for firmer urea prices from the region.
