India's RCF and NFL cut the maximum retail price (MRP) for DAP by INR 2,500 to INR 20,200/mt ($300/mt), according to a July 4 statement from the Department of Fertilizers. Nearly all Indian domestic companies had already been offering distributors discounts of INR 1,500-2,000/mt on the previous MRP of INR 22,700/mt ($338/mt) to encourage activity. Following the announcement of the decrease in the MRP for DAP, companies are now expected to remove the previously-made discounts to distributors.
