Philippines: Philphos purchases 8,000 mt phosacid

Philippine Phosphate Fertilizer Corp. (PhilPhos) purchased a further 8,000 mt 48% phosphoric acid from Vietnam for October delivery at roughly $580/mt CFR 100% P2O5, according to traders. Philphos is currently running at 30% NP/NPK capacity, according to market sources. Traders note that the company has not purchased other raw materials such as phosphate rock, sulphur, sulphuric acid or potash, but has been purchasing some small quantities of ammonia and phosphoric acid, likely for NP fertilizer production.
