India: January-April rock imports down 14%

India imported 2.3 million mt phosphate rock in the first four months of 2016, a 14% decrease from 2.7 million mt in the same period 2015, according to data from IHS Global Trade Atlas. During the four-month period, imports from Jordan increased 12% to almost 1.2 million mt and imports from Peru increased by 3% to 254,820 mt but imports from OCP declined by 20%o 349,146 mt and imports from Egypt declined by 19% to 459,924 mt from 457,000 mt.
