PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of applying force by a simple means during movement operation.;SOLUTION: In this drive device for a vehicle roof element, a movable roof component 14 is connected to a support element 11, and the support element 11 can be moved along a prescribed movement track 8 by drive elements 5, 19. The drive elements 5, 19 act on a swingable middle lever 12 to apply drive force applied by the drive elements 5, 19 to the support element 11 according to a swing position of the middle lever 12 through an interlock pin 6.
