Southeast Asia: Downside MOP price risk continues

Potash markets throughout Southeast Asia remain slow this week, with most indications describing further downside price risk. In Malaysia, dry weather, currency depreciation, high MOP inventories and decreased palm oil planting area are all contributing towards downside risk. Consumption of MOP is expected to be lower in the country this year.
