Russia: 2015 exports down 21% despite 35% Dec climb

Russia’s December 2015 exports of sulphur increased 35% year on year to 633,348 mt, though full-year exports were still down 21% at 3.25 million mt. The largest taker of December volumes was Morocco, with 334,856 mt. Other key outlets were Israel (98,850 mt), Tunisia (88,870 mt), China (36,309 mt), and Egypt (33,450 mt). The volume to Tunisia was the largest monthly volume from Russia to the North African country since November 2014, and the first since June 2015.
