India: October MOP imports increase 44%

India imported 553,000 mt MOP in October, a 44% increase from the same month in 2015 that leaves arrivals in April through that month down 8% year on year at 2.21 million mt, according to updated FAI data. October sales of MOP for direct application to crops in India were 208,070 mt. Sales in April-October totalled1.63 million mt, up from 1.49 million mt in the same period last year.
