Prompt and forward indications vary widely

The gap between urea producers' price ideas and those of traders aggressively shorting prompt and forward positions has grown substantially week-on-week as traders fight for open business in global markets. Volatility was extreme in Turkey where suppliers have pushed prices into the low $190s/mt CFR with credit for Middle East granular, and even lower for FSU prills. The latest suggested deals are down sharply on contracts conluded a mere 10-15 days ago. The latest deals are some $15/mt lower than earlier this month and are down by $60-70/mt on mid-December contracts.
