African Potash signs MoU with Uganda

African Potash signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to source 20,000 mt of fertilizers for the Government of Uganda, the company said June 13. The fertilizer supply under the MoU is on a “best efforts” basis and African Potash plans to arrange delivery of the internationally-sourced tonnes to Kampala, Uganda. The type of fertilizer has not been finalised, although the company told Fertilizer Week that it will likely be urea and NPKs.
