Tsumeb smelter ramp-up continues with more acid in Q1

Canada-based Dundee Precious Metals has seen increased production of sulphuric acid at its Tsumeb smelter in Namibia, according to the company’s first quarter 2016 report. Acid production for Q1 was 45,909 mt, up from 36,904 mt in Q4 2015. Based on reported revenues, the price per tonne was an average of $73/mt for Q1 compared with $80/mt for Q4.
