Mosaic plan to spend another $1.3 billion on K3

Mosaic has announced that it will invest a further CAD 1.7 billion ($1.34 billion) in developing the K3 potash mine at Esterhazy in Saskatchewan, according to a company press release. The extra cash will allow the company to accelerate its planned 900,000 mt production ramp-up at the site, with the mining of potash ore expected to start by late 2017.
