Bearish sentiment throughout potash markets

There was little trading in potash markets this week with some prices falling further. Bearish indications for the rest of 2015 continue to build, impacting expectations for the next potash contracts into China and India. In Brazil, the price is seen stable at $305-310/mt CFR after weeks of progressive falls due to currency depreciation, farmer credit issues, stock clearing and competition to sell volumes. Suppliers hope the market has hit the bottom, but with some sources continuing to note possible deals around $300/mt CFR and comparatively weak demand, there may be further falls to come.
