India: Phosacid arrivals to pick up from May

Indian phosphoric acid imports should pick up from May as more tonnes from North Africa arrive. OCP has indicated that it is loading between 100- 120,000 mt P 2O5 phosacid in April and in May. After a stoppage caused by renewed social unrest in Tunisia, the Tifert joint venture plant (GCT, CIL and GSFC), has restarted production and cargoes should start to arrive into India for CIL and GSFC from May. Port data show the last cargo arriving into India from Tunisia on February 6 with nothing arriving since.
