With China shut down now for the best part of a month, the sulphur market is bracing itself for a period of inactivity and subsequent weakness. Although the Spring Festival in China does not actually start until next week, import interest in new sulphur cargoes has been dying down since the beginning of this month and has now all but ceased. It will only pick up again at the beginning of March.
